Vacuum forming tooling preparation

Vacuum formatting is a method of processing plastics that makes it possible to create foil products with a thickness of 0.15 mm to 2 mm. This allows you to create individually designed inserts or trays. Their preparation is a technological process that aims to prepare these devices according to the guidelines specified by the client.

In order to be able to implement the project ordered by the client, our work is supported by the creation of 3D models or process simulation. Thanks to this, we are able to eliminate defects arising during production. Consequently, it allows us to obtain adequate features of our products. After the stage focused on the design of vacuum molds, they are transferred to the tool room, where the molds are made using technologically advanced machines. It is worth remembering that they must reflect the shape of the detail being produced and contain all the elements that will enable proper distribution of the material. The optimization of production time is also significant.

Implementation of injection molded and vacuum formed products

Injection molding is a plastic molding technique that consists of injecting a plasticized plastic into a mold where it then solidifies to form a compact. It is a gradual processing process characterized by a complex and multi-stage process. Before placing the order for serial production, the customer once again checks and accepts all parameters of the injected product.

On the other hand, thermoformed packaging is a method of packing products that works well not only in the storage process, but also in transport and protection of products. Thermoforming products are used in many different industries. They are light and durable. The production process is less demanding and time-consuming. Preparation consists of two steps. The first one consists of preparing a model form, i.e. a prototype of the implemented element. The second one covers the preparation of the target tooling for mass production. It may take place when the client has no comments on the prototype model.
